We are a student group of concerned citizens and activists at TAS.

Established only three years ago as "Walk for Syria," our walkathon has grown to become one of TAS's biggest charity events. With over 150 Upper School students and faculty members participating in the 2018 walkathon, we raised and donated over $500,000 NT to Syrian refugee emergency relief and resettlement programs.

This year, we officially changed our name to "Walk for Refugees," enabling us to direct attention to refugee crises beyond Syria. For our upcoming walkathon, we will focus on supporting North Korean refugees, and hope to spotlight different refugee crises each year in the future.

What's next?

This year, we aim to break our 2017 fundraising record, while also focusing on spreading awareness within the TAS community about the hardships faced by refugees not just from Syria, but all across the world. Walk for Syria 2019 will be held on April 19: We hope that you’ll join us in giving refugees a better future!
